Indirect light

Indirect light is lighting where the light isn't directed directly at the illuminated surface, but is first reflected by a surface such as a wall, ceiling, or other reflective surface before illuminating the room. It's often used to create softer, more even lighting than direct light, and it creates a more subdued atmosphere .
