Types of T8 LED tubes
🔹 Retrofit T8 LED tube – Works in existing fixtures with a starter (conventional ballast).
🔹Directly on 230V T8 LED tube – Bypass the ballast and connect directly to mains power.
🔹 T8 LED tube for electronic ballast – Works with an electronic ballast (ECG) .
Installing a T8 LED tube
1️⃣ For conventional fluorescent lamps (with starter)
- Replace the old fluorescent tube.
- Replace the fluorescent starter with an LED starter (usually included).
- Finished!
2️⃣ For luminaires with electronic ballast (without starter)
- Check whether the LED tube is compatible with the EVSA.
- If yes: replace immediately.
- If not: Remove VSA and connect to 230V .
3️⃣ Directly on 230V
- Remove the ballast and connect the LED tube directly to L (live) and N (neutral) .
