Trimless spotlights are recessed spotlights without a visible edge (flange) that are fully integrated into the ceiling or wall. This creates a sleek and seamless finish , allowing the lighting to blend in with the room's architecture.
Features of trimless spots
✅ Rimless design – The spotlights have no visible edge or frame, which provides a minimalist look.
✅ Seamless finish – They are integrated into a plasterboard or plastered ceiling and finished with plaster.
✅ Luxurious appearance – Widely used in modern interiors and high-end architecture.
✅ Various light options – Available in different light intensities, color temperatures and dimmable versions.
✅ Suitable for various spaces – Can be used in homes, offices, catering and retail.
Installation of trimless spotlights
Installing trimless spotlights requires a little more work than standard recessed spotlights, because they have to be plastered into the ceiling :
Step 1: Preparation
- Determine the correct location and drill/open the recess in the plasterboard.
- Provide sufficient space for the flush-mounting box and wiring.
Step 2: Attaching the trimless housing
- Mount the trimless housing (frame) into the recess.
- Screw or clamp the housing securely to the drywall.
Step 3: Plastering and finishing
- Apply plaster or stucco around the spotlight so that the edge disappears.
- Allow everything to dry and then finish the ceiling or wall smoothly.
Step 4: Installing the light source
- Place the LED module or GU10 lamp into the housing.
- Connect the wiring and test the lighting.
